Did you fix your header leak? and change the timing?

For me it will be a last minute choice, too many issues -not jeep related-, at this time.

As spare parts, starter and alternator, and may be some wheel bearings... the latter seemed a bit hard to find lately. Albeit I had a less than 1 year old starter, it went south somewhere in Ouray.

I did fix my exhaust leak. Now I can hear the passenger side... I did not do anything to the timing other than retard it after coming down the mountain. It's been running great but I will have someone look at it, or borrow a gun.

FYI, I booked a rental Jeep today. We plan on coming out Thurs the 24th and leaving on Sunday. Hoping to get a spot for the 5th wheel out on Sand Flats road.

Excellent, a vacuum gauge will work as well.

In fact I have been playing w my timing... at 16deg (distributor vac. disco.) and using manifold vacuum. I did 13, but 16 is fine...., if no pinging you are fine , IIRC we dialed 18 or 22...

Well my buddy bailed on this trip, so his reservations for the canyon lands are open.

But on a good note, I've been doing lots of mods on the Honcho. Made a dual battery tray, cut out all the flooring and making a new floor to integrate the racing seats. Doing some more tubing work and gathering spare parts.

Boston Bob has offered to tow the Honcho back home if needed :fsj:

yeah sure, assuming we don't break anything that I'm not able to carry. Pritchett should be fun. The problem is our reservations are only until Friday night and we must check out Saturday morning. We may have to stay an extra day or your buddy can show up a day early...

I also wanna run Hells Revenge and take a dip into the hot tub. Also wanna 'cruise (not jeep) the sand dunes. I'm kinda curious how my LX450 will do compared to your 5.3 Cherokee.

Your running hydro assist aren't you? I'm running the same PSC steering RAM and autozone 6508 steering gear as before. But I do I have a cardone 27-6505 gear on the way. Hoping to have time to drill/tap it. Do you have an extra stock pitman arm that I could buy from ya? I can't find my spare...

I do have an extra one but I was going to put it on the new box just in case I can't get the other one off and right now I just have a stock box on it my hydro assist box broke so I ordered a agr superBox they told me it would take a week and a half to build. I'm almost to a month now

sweet. well I won't worry too much about getting a spare pitman arm since it sounds like you have one. I know I have at least one or two laying around, but I can't find 'em...
