24v Cummins J20 service bed

Post by jaber »

Finally got a little free time so thought I'd post a link in the proper section to help others that are looking at options.

http://www.fsjnetwork.com/forum/viewtop ... 40#p137885

The link is to the post that starts the diesel part of the build. I have 2300 miles of daily use out of it. It's averaging 15 MPG with my lead foot and 8500# curb weight. I had to replace the lift pump last month and I still have less then $4500 total into this build. I found the donor for $3500.

Did I mention how much fun it is to drive?

That is amazing, looks like a ton of work but so is any diesel swap no matter how you cut it. So is it registered as a Dodge or a Jeep?

1975 Jeep J20. The visible VIN is the same, and I'm in an area that is not big on inspections yet.
It even has historic plates...
