Trouble shoot

Post by Shagoneer »

Hopefully someone can help me. I just tried starting my Waggy for the first time since the EFI was installed. Whenever I would crank the vehicle the injectors wouldn't spray. but then when I would let go of the key they would let out a quick spray. Does anyone know why this is? I thought maybe I just hadnt cranked it long enough so i repeated the process at varying time lengths and had the same problem every time

I had the same issue on my first set up, and it turned out the wire I "thought" was hot in crank and run was only hot in run.

Glad your was easy. :-bd

The problem is in one part of the manual from Holley it said the wire a cable as an ignition ground, and then 2 pages later is said to use the same wire as a body ground. I tried it as the ignition ground and it didn't work so after re reading the entire manual I saw the other place where it said to do a body ground and that wrked

Im once again having problems. I decided to run it again for a few minutes today just because I like to hear what she sounds like. During the run an O ring on one injector popped, now both injectors drip instead of mist/spray. Anyone know whats up?

When rebuilding the pod the top and bottom orings must be seated in the pod and then the injector should be lightly greased on the tip and the sides.
Then line up the small alignment pin and lower it down. Gently press and twist to get the lower oring started and then push straight down to snap in place.
The kit should have also come with small metal rings that get placed under the upper orings.
Once all is good and leak free then you can check the fuel pressure.

You need good ignition and tach signal before the ECM will fire the injectors.
