Smog air pump always active only with the cat

I purchased a TBI kit, my 100 questions will arrive soon. Lol :D

I'm making the list of the various parts not present in the kit. My exhaust is completely new Magnaflow 3 "taken by BJ off 8 months ago, with cat with air immission.
I take off the air system at the exhaust, but I wonder: can I keep the pump that blows continuous air to the Magnaflow cat, without having to buy another 3-way without air inlet ???

The air(smog) pump is not needed.
Pinch the line shut @ the CAT or get a plug like what they normally come with.
No reason to buy another new CAT.
