Emmisions delete Holley sniper

Post by Arizona___woody »

So I was able to register my jeep as a classic in Arizona which means that I can go ahead with my planned emmisions delete with that said has anyone done a delete with a sniper or any other efi system. I planned on installed edelbrock heads intake and either a comp cams 268 or the summit 8600. Has anyone done anything close I was hoping to add at least a little more nut to my old girl

Many folks, myself included, has removed the emissions stuff.
I have to keep an EGR, the vapor canister, and CAT for CA smog testing, but everything else is gone under the hood.
All useless vacuum nonsense, and air pump is long gone.
The EGR is there, but it isn't getting vacuum, more for looks than anything really.
Added bonus is that it passes smog w/o issue.

I live in a state that may never have emissions so, all of mine had most of it removed before I got them. Red does run better now, with the Sniper. More power and better mileage but, that's mostly because it had too much carb on it before.

Yep, I just don’t mention it in emissions discussions.

If you keep the EGR, you will be able run more advance. That said, I don't habra functioning EGR, either.

JMO - Keep it all until it fails, or interferes with the TBI installation. Vapor recovery and PCV are particularly beneficial systems, with no significant downside. Air injection is benign until it fails, as is the catalytic convertor.
