Fuel Injection fuel pump/system options

Post by Cataldo »

I am curious what you all are running for a fuel system with a high pressure fuel system, like an LS system or Fitech system? Inline pump? blazer tank? Holley fuel mat thing?

You'll have to include your experiences with this in your review, I am curious how well the off camber stuff will do with lower fuel levels.

This is my initial idea. I am even thinking about running the stock tank and the blazer tank so as to have plenty of fuel capacity

A lot of the Mustang LS Swappers use this pump, or two of these in parallel for forced induction systems.

ClovisMan,

Thank you, I have heard of people using these before as well. I am afraid that the pick up will be constantly being uncovered though and leaning out the system. I do not know if I am even correct in thinking that this will be a problem.

you tank has internal baffles which shroud the pickup and prevent this problem. With any pump as such you should never run below 1/4 tank unless its a dire situation. Keep gas in it and it wont be a problem.

Otherwise, you can run an in-tank setup such as this one, that I am currently installing. this requires more work but should deliver better, longer, and quieter performance. Even in a tank without baffles, you see the tray at the bottom keeps sloshing to a minimum.
