Fuel pressure is important to baseline with a gauge and make sure it is in the ballpark of where it should be.

I'm able to read the bin. Using a recent XDF ($42-1227747-V5.2.XDF) it is showing...

Initial SA of 0*. No patch for showing spark advance; so you get cross counts instead. Desired C/L idle speed table sets idle to 500 for most normal temps (didn't really look at any of the other scalars/tables that may affect actual idle speed). Timing and fuel curves don't look insane. That's all I looked at so far.

Ok... so... once you've fixed the vac leak... and once you've set the IAC, TPS, and mechanical advance... if it is still wonky, then do another log and post it and we can take a look and see if anything jumps out at us.

Not sure what you're looking @, but the .bin he uploaded is showing a whole bunch of garbage...is is not a valid .bin
Like Initial spark 81.91, BPW = 76.00, Stoich AFR = 7.9, iac idle table in the thousands
The fuel and spark tables are not correct either.

Mike,

I'm going to set my SA to goose egg and adjust the IAC and TPS. Then see what happens, gonna try and use your version of the XDF.

The distributor that came with the kit has the mechanical advance physically welded in place. Appears to be a Skip White HEI.

Stop wasting your time…a different .xdf isn't going to change a bad .bin whatever you read/uploaded is NOT the .bin.
All the .xdf does is defines the data from the .bin in a more readable format.

Be sure the offsets are correct and try to read your chip again.

Don't guess on the timing, initial setup will change and you'll just have to do it over with lower/higher initial advance.

Here's the offsets, I believe.

Looks like the chip is being read, but not sure.

Chip is a 2732A

Set my idle to 700 and timing at 0.00

Going to set the TPS to 0.5V

Now that we got that figured out I plugged in and am getting crazy #'s which has to be an error on my part with the XDF file. Tried closing and reopening the XDF several times and trying different ones but still shows my RPM's at 5000.

Runs much better with the timing set where the BIN specifies btw lol

.xdf = .bin file definition

.adx = datastream and dash
You probably don't have correct one loaded

Not sure what you guys are doing to get such weird output but here is what I saw after downloading the original bin file and renaming to bin and then opening with TunerPro 5.00.8606.00 on Win 7.

Running the same XDF and ADX as Mike's in that screenshot

$42-1227747-V5.9.3.xdf

$42-1227747-V5.2.adx

Still getting weird #'s with the datalog

AutoProm settings in TunerPro not correct, or bad com port settings?
