Thanks, Ill have to look around and see if ours has only 3 wires if so you would think it wouldn't be too hard.

Yes, both the van mirrors and the FSJ mirrors are three wire.

went and took my mirror off, upon inspection it looks like it should cover the holes. Going to hit the hardware store and find some screws and hopefully get to them this weekend.

I have always used sheet metal screws. But bolting them in with a washer and lock washer on the back side would actually be more secure.

I looked at chevy mirrors off a mid 80s chevy truck when I was designing these. They will work, but they move the mirror closer in and raise it up quite a bit. If you have a way to cut the tube that mounts the mirror shorter, than yes you could use a Chevy mirror and make them look right. Otherwise they will sit way to high in my opinion.

installed! Got lucky and they covered the holes. Sealed them up and good to go! Used sheet metal screws, if they don't hold I'll pull the door panels and bolt them on with a plate on the inside as well. Thanks Ross!

That is a lot of weight pulling outward on sheet metal screws in the thin skin of the door. 75mph against those nice big mirrors is going to fatigue the sheet metal pretty quickly, I would think. It sure looks nice, I would hate for you to lose one out on the interstate. A plate and some bolts/nuts would be a good idea, IMHO.
