DFW area, Old School FSJ Mechanic Needed

I live in Carrollton, TX and just purchased a '83 Cherokee S and need a qualified FSJ mechanic that I can take the vehicle to. Engine running rough (needs complete tuneup), small exhaust leak, sucky fuel mileage (probably needs a rebuilt carbie), A/c needs a new Compressor clutch and Vaccing, etc. Owner stated engine and tranny had been rebuilt within the last 2 years, but I still want to go through the vehicle top to bottom. Nothing worse than an unreliable jeep...

I'm also looking to do a SOA and either shacle or block kit to give me a 3 to 4" lift. I'd like to meet a few local FSJ members that could give some advice on weekend projects. I owned a auto-customizing store in Alabama for 6 years, so I'm new to the FSJ but not the skills required to do what I need.

Any help would be great.

Todd

I'm located in Copperas Cove Texas, I been around the FSJs my entire life, owned 5 of them. The entire family has had 16 of them. Awesome rigs. Nothing I haven't done.

I met up with Todd this fall. Great guy! We spent a couple of days at my work under a breeze way near Lake Arlington. We replaced the water pump, oil pump guts, rear main and associated gaskets. I had just rebuilt the 2BL off of the boys "TANK" and was replacing with a 4BL. We took his old one off, and after some wrencking and a couple good lunches, he seemed quite pleased with his new toy.
Found it humorous how he noted how bad of condition his rig was in, all I could do was compliment what great shape it was in, HECK, he had a FULL INTERIOR with headliner!!!!
I talked with him about a week ago and is still pleased with it. :-bd
