Chief Coyote Rojo

Post by fulsizjeep »

There are a hand full of folks here who have been to Ouray and got to meet Chief. I am sad to report he took the rainbow bridge on Wednesday morning after several months of bone tumor growth on his left cheek. We raised him from 5-6 weeks and he was 10. In spite of the tumor, he was a very happy dog until we came home from work Tuesday. He has been the bestest dog ever. Krista had him on the sofa with her for the first time ever that evening. He also got to sleep on the bed with us. He was lavished with love until the end. We have been preparing for this mentally but putting him down was hard as hell and we had to take the day off. He is free to run those alpine meadows anytime he wants now.

Thanks for letting me sit in the dirt at your campsite and play with your dog. Chief was good people.
