I twice came in an Infinity.
They forgave me, probably only because I brought a keg the year before that?

Oh wait, The Q never broke down or had to be strapped over anything.

What he said. The scenery is great, the weather is great (unless it sucks, and then it really sucks) but if the people weren't great we wouldn't keep coming back.

Awesome! I'm about 64 miles south west on 44. Little town called Sullivan. I'm definitely putting it down on the calender for next year! I Google'd (never in my life did I ever think that'd be a word if ever say), and it looks like scenery right out of a Jeep logo. Do you guys came out there?

Looks like I will be driving to Hays, KS Sunday night, hanging with friends in Denver on Monday, heading to Ouray on Tuesday, likely staying in Montrose Tues night as I could not get Tues at the Campground, so at the Campground officially from Wed-Sat and heading home. PM sent with Contact info.

I just sent you a PM on IFSJA. I plan on being at the KOA from Sunday till Sunday.

That's what makes this meet so nice is you can always plan on it to be in the middle of July. ALWAYS...

The people that show up for this are the most awesome people you will ever meet. All walks of life and all ages. Instant Wrench O Thons when someone breaks down and usually someone has a trailer or dolly to tow the unfixables back to the KOA are other destinations.
You'll come once and you will be hooked.
I have only attempted one trip out there in a FSJ in 2006 and it never made it out of NM.I rented a Yukon to get to Ouray and went back for my Jeep 2 weeks later and limped it back home to KY. It died the week before the meet the next year in 2007 so I rented a Durango. Then didn't show back up for 4 years due to a move and other life problems. I took my F350 in 2012, 2013 and it will be there again this year. I rented a Jeep from KOA and most likely will again to do a long , long cruise through the mountains north of Ouray.
If all goes well I may have a Jeep(non running) there this year, that is if I can get the guy to sell it to me while I'm out west.

Next year I should have at least 1 Jeep there and most likely 2 of them.

I definitely understand how life events can alter things. I am hoping to have a newer Jeep 4 door wrangler by this fall which is probably what I'd go out there in next year. The wagoneer won't be ready for a few more years to make a trip like that I don't think unfortunately.

Definitely always a great time to meet like minded folks, and those mountains look like the perfect setting for a Jeep!

Even if your non-FSJ vehicle breaks down you'll find someone glad to tow you.

I love those M715's with the convertible tops and front window down. Ultimate cruising machine for sightseeing.

I can't believe you put poor old Corn Dawg through them trails Sean. That poor ole IH. :P

HOOT-
The J10 HOOT-Gyver power steering still works great too! I was driving it around the other day and resnapped the centering pin for the leaf pack, thankfully this time I was in the yard and not on the side of a mountain. After the new torque converter goes in Corn Dawg will do Ouray again.
