I think we can pretty much call the 2013 Ouray FSJ Invasion a wrap. 3 FSJs left here headed for a couple bunny runs on Minnie and Maggie Gulches. 2 are headed to AZ after that and the other is coming back to the KOA. There are 4 FSJs still at the KOA and 19 attended. We will be headed out in the morning.

We had catastrophic failure on 2 rigs in the group. We will soon say goodbye to Kenny H's red waggy as it will be parted out in AZ after blowing the motor on Engineer trail. Jerry let Kenny and Dawn use his GW to get home in. The other was a busted NP229 in Steve W's GW. It is now in safe keeping at my house waiting for R&R tcase. I was pretty distracted helping people with their FSJ flesh wound's this week and missed some trail time and that is OK. It has been a different Invasion and had self inflicted flesh wounds.

I hope everyone that came to the Flesh Wound Tour had a good time. 8-)

You forgot to mention the severed sway bar on the Jeepmc :D I beat it all the way back here to MN, pulled in at the Ponderosa just before 10PM our time. We did Sterling, CO to home all at one shot... It was a long day, other than time taken out for fuel, food, and such it all rolled along pretty well. I'll be making a pic album on FB and linking it.

Made it back in record time. The cat ran flawlessly only slowed down by some severe weather in southern New Mexico.

Had a great, long week of wheeling and seeing old friends and meeting some new ones :)

Kenny's Jeep seems kind of nice to part out.

Glad you are back safe.
We saw the storm coming and ditched into Silver, made it to the house about 10 minutes before it hit us.
It rained until after 1am, most of it very hard.

To Flint:
You went above and beyond the call, no one could have made the end result any different.
I am proud to call you my friend, my brother.
Thank You.

We were very happy to put faces with names we had not met before and meet new FSJ brethren.

I am actually feeling a low that I have never felt after an Ouray trip and I have had plenty of reasons to feel this way on prior Ouray trips (2003 blown brakes, 2008 bad FI, 2011 jumping time).
I'm not sure what it is or why I feel this way.

I was one of those distracting people and Flint definately went above and beyond trying to get me another TC.

It was great to meet the people that I have talked and traded with over the past few years.

Had another great trip this year, it was nice to see everyone and meed some new faces. made it home in a record 6.5 hours! the truck ran great averaging 13.5 MPG, and i was pushing it on the way home. but after only about 1300 miles i am already thinking the leaf spring front suspension has to go. look for a coilspring project this winter

Made it home this morning. Before I got home I got hi-jacked by work. I then spent a couple of hours cleaning the tent. My wife told me the Liberty had issues and had to be towed home. I determined that one of the intake valves is not closing all the way. Not sure why. It does move and does open it just doesn't quite close. The spring looks a little compressed even without any pressure on the valve.
I also spent some time looking at pics I took. I will post them up soon. Of note... I have a shot of Kenny's rig on the trailer....

I had a great time! I enjoyed hanging out with old friends and making some new ones. We had some trail issues but everyone made it back safe.

The rig ran great. Got me home no problem.

I had a blast, met some new people and got some social time for the new mutt. He is crashed on the pillows at the Howard Johnson's as I type.
I took 285 up to 9 and came out at Breckenridge. What abeautiful drive. I stopped at Denver to check out some cedar wood onMonday. I'LL be slowly heading back toKY Monday with an arrival on Wed sometime unless I find something to get into.

We got home yesterday about 1:30. Krista picked up Luna and the way in. Got some parts loaded in Casey's GW and saw him off to Pinetop. Why do I feel so tired? ;)

Thank you for serving as the unofficial Den Dad for Ouray. I know it can be frustrating, but as one of the now infrequent participants let me say that yours and Krista's efforts are greatly appreciated! :D :D Hopefully next year I'll be able to get Crom and the crew together and make it again
