They have gmail too but I always use the mindspring. ;)

Just got off the phone with Ralph Rogers and it looks like they won't be making it this year. He has been up from Phoenix area every year since 05. We had a good chat though.

Well it appears that we will be out for Ouray this year. We just bought another house, and trying to get a business up and going. To much stuff going on, not enough time or money to make Ouray this year. I will hang on to my spot for now, I think I have someone lined up to take it, so when that happens I will let you all know. Thanks for the memories of years past, and will be sad not to be there this year. Please share plenty of pics.

Hate to hear that Pam. Glad to hear what you have going on. Best of luck with that. Are you leaving Cozad and the place you have now or just expanding out.

We will be moving closer to Kearney out in the country, about an hour east of Cozad, but will still be close to Interstate 80. Alan is sad to be leaving his new garage, but there is a 1/2 acre that he can build a new one on. :-bd

I really hope there will be more rain than last year (prior to us all getting there) so we won't have to wait a few days in order to have a camp fire. Getting my plans all started in order to have another restfull week in the mountains.

Midland? That's as close to wasteland as we have. If you go take a truck load of ice, shade, and something to do cause they don't have any there.

LOL I know I survived in Odessa for 7 years in the 80s.
His brother got married in 2009, when I got off the plane in Midland I remembered one of the reasons why I had moved, it felt like somebody hit me in the face with a hot wet towel!!
We should only be there a day or two hopefully LOL Although we may end up going on to Granbury to see my brother's house.

Well, received confirmation from my li'l Sis coming from Holland that she will be hanging in TX until 23rd, so I am a GO! Not sure about 114 as it seems too close to the rest rooms... shooting for 53, though it will be a little later today.

WHEW!

Cannot wait for another trip to the Mountains!

Have a great Spring everyone!

114 didn't look too bad. I was checking it out last year. It's close but I didn't see that being a problem. I don't have a camper though and I don't think they would let me have it to truck camp. Besides I like having a bit of room around me also.
I'm hoping I have 52b in my memory correct. I remember the trees starting around there. There are a few out in the wide open 50-52 IIRC. Nice big spots just no trees except behind the camping lot. Crazy lady above was creepy as all get out also.

My KOA Value Card came in today. :D ... I already have 7 confirmed nights at 2 different KOA's on it. :-bd .
It sure did help my res. at Ouray KOA go so simple I was afraid it didn't go through. 1 email , consisting of about 13 words, with my dates requested and the site I wanted. then the card number and BAM Deb emailed me back the next day with everything confirmed. This is going to make all the pop in stays nice..

A word to the wise for anyone using the Corp KOA phone for KOA res people. This is KOA Corp. not Ouray... I phoned in a stay because the campground wasn't open yet and I had a question before doing it online. The nice lady answered all my questions and I told her to sign me up for the KOA card. No problem there and then we went to setting the res. for a May stay. The campground was offering a Buy one night get the second night free for the time I wanted it. When she told me my total I about fell over. I asked her what the rates were thinking I misread something. Nope they simple will not give you whatever discount is advertised UNLESS YOU ASK FOR IT... I told her I hope the call was being recorded as I didn't want to repeat what I thought of that KOA policy... I then got the free night and it knocked $100 plus off the bill.
