WHAT THE HELL MIKE???? Get out of your funk and get your butt over to Ouray. Like I said, you can always find a seat. You know you'd rather be sitting in Ouray crying in your beer about the Jeep not being done than sitting at home!! I understand not wanting to tow it and not be able to drive it, or not wanting to spend the whole time wrenching but hell, we've been there, done that, more than once. Seriously. You already planned on it, you might as well at least show up! We are towing a Jeep that's been sitting for 2 years. Ok, rant off. You better show up or I will come and find you and drag you by your ears up to Ouray. Can somebody just pick it up while you are gone? Is it a part time transfer case, front pinion? Really man, just come.will e wrote:Well, I am out. I still don't have the Jeep back. Yesterday he said they took the front axle apart to fix the seal leak and they noticed a chip on the pinion gear that they must have missed. So need a new pinion gear. I don't really know if I will get the Jeep tomorrow or not. I assume he didn't get the part today. If they do finish it I don't want them to leave it outside for another week while I sit up in Ouray.
Hopefully you all will have a good time even without my Cheese Crisps. Someone let me know the dates for next year as soon as you know. I am thinking 'what the heck' I will just drag the wife up while towing and we can live the adventure together. I am going to want to grab a trailer spot for next year.
I haven't cancelled my spot yet, I will tomorrow. It's not close to the fire so no worries about pissing anyone off.
Agreed!Riverrat wrote:Show up in your Sport Trac! Gosh, nobody ever showed up in a Ford before If you don't want it sitting out, maybe they should deliver to your house for you since they missed the pinion problem to begin with... and took too long... or can't your wife just pick it up? I'm not just saying this because of the cheese crisps! You'll be missed.
Some idiot showed up in a suburban with 220,000 miles once and broke the sway bar off.fulsizjeep wrote:Yes Sir - SportTrac it!
