It under 61',and I will test drive it tomorrow. To much traffic on the road today :D
The only thing that I am concerned about is where I can get this thing into to get fuel.
Because I am not running the Truck Stop route.

I didn't even think about length vs gassing up.
What's your range between fuel stops?
I can picture difficulty in poop towns like Gallup and Shiprock.
Need to do some planning.

If I can average 9 mpg I can get 270 mi. Gallup will be easy there is a Truck Stop there
and next stop can be Ridgway or casino in Cortez

I'm down to new shoes for my 'burb and wagon, change the oil, and scheduled for alignment the last day before we leave, then just pack everything.

I went to the MVD and the State Police Office to make sure I was legal yep I was under 65'.
So I got the wife and told her we were taking a little trip :D [maiden vogue]. For the people
from here that know the Salt River Canyon [about 30mi from me] yep took her down into it
and back out. Pulled super and no problem. :-bd

I kinda dislike that canyon more than most others I have driven.... even the Blue Ridge mountains  Can't wait to see how I do dragging the saggy through there.

I have run that canyon many time with my truck and car hauler and with a semi and trailer.
I use 2 in the A/T, run the posted speed or under, use the brake when needed but don't ride the brake.

I don't know if I would have the nerves, ummm - cahones to pilot that load Jerry. Maybe I have been hit in the head by too many jacks, dunno. I have dragged a couple FSJs around the mountains by a FSJ. I don't care how pissed the folks behind me get when I get over the top of a pass and let off the gas. ;) Safe Travels to all on the trek to Ouray. Krista lured me out here 13 years ago otherwise I may have never made the trek. What a gift.

OK, the temps here have been high 90s with 2 days at 99 this week. Nights are running in the 60s. Sometime 59, sometimes 69. We had a storm cell pass nearby at sunset. It cooled us off and was in the mid 70s by 9pm. Right now enjoying 59* air flowing through the house. Today the weather folks say we are getting first monsoonal air flow. The random storms we have had lately have not fit the monsoon definition. Maybe the daily showers will get here to help keep us cool next week.

I would like you to get some rain up there now so we can have a fire, unlike last year did not have charred meat for a few days.

I'll be bringing the QBque again.
If we have fire restrictions drop on by 45, fire up the grill and cook away.

We got rain and rainbows at sunset. The monsoons are on us finally. It usually takes a week or more for fire bans to be lifted once the daily showers start. 50% chance of rain today beginning at 10am.
