Site 48 is available for Thursday and Friday, July 19 and 20. Something else came up and we took it. If you want to get site 48, contact me by PM or email (401s <at> jubileejeeps.org) to arrange handing it off. If nobody gets it by mid-day July 12, I will cancel the reservation.
Down to the wire but I finally scored the time off work. I'll be in site 44 that I optimistically reserved on my way out last year. Most likely I will be rolling solo this year.

My family wasn't able to come last year, but I'll have my ladies with me this year.
Not this trip. Little guy still doesn’t travel well so Megan suggested I go by myself. Driving across the desert is also less stressful without wife and especially kids in tow.

Getting stoked for this year now. Still trying to figure out the little details of bringing down two fsj's, dualsport bike, f350 and the camper. Probably going to make a couple trips back and forth from my house.
Both fires are likely to smolder until winter moisture. Moisture the last couple days has helped hold down activity. Fires are 50% contained and they are expecting full containment July 31. Last I heard was the far end of CR 124 in La Plata Canyon is closed or restricted because the fire zone now reaches Kennebec Pass. This is in the La Plata mountains between us and Durango. NOAA is expecting true monsoon activity in the area Wed or Thu. The moisture the last few days is from a front passing the area and it appears to be priming the monsoons for us. We just got hammered with wind, lightning, rain and pea size hail from a cell that passed over from the mountains. Flash flood kind of shyte.
So we were set to travel Monday morning arriving Monday evening. Our obligation on Sunday has changed and we can travel now on Sunday. I called the KOA to see if I could bump my reservation up one day, however there is someone arriving Sunday morning the 15th and leaving Monday the 16th for Site 47E, which my reservation starts on Monday. Question is, is this 1-day reservation anyone here? Or is it someone un-related to the FSJ group? Was hoping to get there for the Monday morning breakfast fiasco!
