Okay, I know it's unorganized and that's the way I like it. But with the heat coming on here in Phoenix I am looking forward to Ouray. So here are some of my thoughts (not 'plans') for 2017.

Arrive Sunday. Relax.
Monday: Eggs Benedict and the traditional Red Mountain run. This year I will try to talk the gang into a quick run up Porphyry Gulch too. The entrance is close to the exit of Red Mountain and it is a pretty short trail. Looks like fun, I have never been up that trail.

Other days:
Alpine loop (engineer and cinnamon pass). Stop for lunch in lake city, perhaps at the "Marion Street Bistro & Brew house".

Although a few years ago, I did three Ophir pass trips in the same week I haven't been to Telluride in a couple of years. I will most likely do Imogene and back Ophir rather than Black Bear to Telluride. The vail falls at the end of black bear are breathless but the view from Imogene is awesome as well. One thing about black bear is if someone breaks down in front of you then you are stuck until they get it fixed since it is one way. Casey has a favorite pizza place in town.

I will make a Yankee/Governor run, it’s always a favorite and close to town. But this year I might try to explore a few of the less traveled off shoots on Governor.

I must run Poughkeepsie since it tried to dump me last year. I think this year I will head ‘up’ instead of down. Maybe exit out towards Silverton so I can spend some time in the town.

So that leaves me with an open day. Perhaps a parts run to Montrose? :)

In Ouray I am going to dine at Maggies Kitchen at least once (the burgers are awesome). I also plan on hanging out at the place that has the roof top seating with a view of the street. We will watch the jelly beans roll by and count the number of snorkels.

Just some random thoughts on what I might do. Perhaps I will spend some time at the hot springs? Or perhaps hit some of the trails south of silverton? Whatever happens it will be fun .

I'm meeting some friends the Friday before. So I'll probably be the first one there. I'm up for just about anything all week.

I was thinking of you last fall when the road side markers were all knocked down at the Louisville metro KOA. Took me a while to get the yellow pinstripes off the dually fenders.

I've seen Truck Norris in real life (and survived!) but I haven't seen him run yet.

I'm not for positive, but I THINK I'm in the passenger seat of Cole Trickle's Honcho in that pic! :D

Considering I was raised in a WAGON, it's somewhat odd that I keep gravitating towards the trucks. :|

Hey guys, I got word that there are only 3 spots left for us and the KOA needs to release 2 of them if we do not reserve them asap. The only sites left are 43, 44 and 49. Casey asked if we can keep 49 for us but the other two will be released. If you are even thinking about going, get a spot!

Looks like NEJetboy still has the reservation for 47D. I talked to Samantha at the KOA. She is going to double check for me. Are we sure NEJetboy has said he officially gave up the site?

Hi -

I am trying to get Cameron's attention on the FB Ouray Invasion page. Standby.

Who is looking to hook up with 47D?

Thanks -

I'm willing to switch if I need to, my spot is pretty far into the group too though.

We need a Blackbear run to initiate Wyatt. Other than that I'm up for whatever.

From Cameron in response to question about cancelling:
I have not yet. Who ever wants the spot please let me know and I'll give the KOA a call this week and swap over the information.

His forum user name is: NEJetboy
Take it up directly with him.
