It was an exciting moment for sure. A big thanks to Sabrina for getting the shot (and for all the other pictures too).

Did the wheels on the JK ever leave the ground coming down poughkeepsie? Got a couple of pictures but the wheels all look firmly planted.

Did you have a sway bar hooked up, or was the weight just right to not let the front articulate?

sway bar. So you think if I didn't have a sway bar the driver front would have dropped down without picking up the passenger rear as much?

Because the wheel dropping would have pulled the sway bar down. This causes the passenger side of the sway bar to pull the wheel... Oh wait I never thought of it that way. I have quick disconnects, maybe I should start using them.

This video shows why disconnecting the sway bar is good:

I have quick disconnects but have never used them. I think it is time to start.

You would have been much closer to having all four tires on the ground. I am to the point now that soon as I hit dirt I disconnect, because the ride is so much smoother. Plus it lets the axle move all over.

And with the quick disco setup I have it takes me all of 30 seconds to pull two pins and move the links up.

Yeah but I wouldn't have the awesome picture. LOL. When I had my 35's I didn't even run with a sway bar on or off road. I will try the disconnects next time I am off road. Thanks for starting up the discussion.

On a side note, I saw a Jeep Fails video on that page...
I find it amazing how many tards wheel without belts on. Darwin was cheated several times during that vid.
