Postby Chubbinius » Mon Sep 10, 2018 9:00 am

Hello all, as a new owner of a 1970 Wagoneer there are some pieces parts that I have noticed over the last few weeks that are missing or I would like to replace or add on. Shipping would be to San Diego, CA zip 92126. I would greatly appreciate any assistance or pointers to places to find them too, thank you-

Head over to oljeep.com for the manuals, print em off and put in page protectors in a binder. That's what I did.

I have some of the items needed, roof rack, cargo area strips, tailgate stuff. Give me some time to find a box for the rack and I'll get a quote.

Thanks Jeepininaw. I have been hunting around oljeep.com; and ordered a Chilton's too. I like the idea of printing off the oljeep stuff, maybe a quick Kinko's run is in order. Thanks for taking a look.

Yes! That is exactly the piece I need. I had seen an old thread where folks had dicussed making them, but so thrilled to see they are a reality. Are they able to be painted, or maybe even plated? How much are you selling them for, MiB? Thank you.

Hi

There is a scrapyard 40 miles from me that has 8 or 9 Jeep pickups & Wagoneers from the 60s & 70s era that still have a lot of usable parts.

New York State so anything that would normally rust is probably shot.

Anyway next week I am taking my nephew on a tour of this 30+ acre all in the woods old school junkyard. Many vehicles from the 30s 40s all the way up to the late 70s.

A few Jeep Willys PickUps out there too.

We will be taking closeup pictures of all of the J Trucks & Wagoneers and will be posting those pictures in the FSJ Parts Sales section of this forum.

Members can look over the pics to see if they see anything usable... and my nephew and I will take a Gladiator Road Trip to the same yard again in 2-3 weeks to pull whatever parts people have expressed an interest in. Yard owner is a good guy to work with so hopefully we can get the parts on the cheap.

Please check the FSJ Parts Sales section after the 18th of October.

Dash on that 70 Wagoneer looks virtually identical to my 71 Gladiator Custom Cab interior.

It does, that is one fine looking Gladiator you have there! I was ogling it in your build thread and the "Winter is Coming" thread too. I would like the two-tone you have on it for my Wagoneer, saw a Wagoneer in the two tone like that (white over avocado) in a vendors section thread about grab handles. Now...if I could just find a dash pad as nice looking as yours. :)

I don't suppose anyone has a console from a "Custom Special" or "Super Wagoneer" hanging about, do they? I saw one over on IFSJA, but can't seem to post or reply there...(in your experience does it usually take more than three weeks to approve an account request for the IFSJA forums?). Thanks!

Babywag, that would be great! Those manuals are like unicorns...tough to find online and the Detroit Iron CD set I ordered doesn't have the Wagoneer in it, just the J-trucks and Universals.

The U-shape chrome would be nice too, mine's pretty ugly. I'll PM you.

Thanks, I'm waiting for the snows to thaw out in 1971J4000's neck of the woods as he is going to get me a price on a roof rack, but I will be sure to hit you up if that doesn't work out. Would you be willing to email any pictures of the racks and trim plates and what you might be asking for them? Thank you!

Steering wheel for my 1970 Wagoneer...

Postby Chubbinius » Wed Apr 17, 2019 8:24 am

Any chance anyone has a spare black steering wheel like this one (not my picture, borrowed from 1971J4000) pretty please? My horn bail and cap are in good condition, but the hub/collar on the wheel is cracked in quite a few places, and would like to get a spare in case the remove and repair to mine goes awry. Thank you.
