In case you have time to post some more photos, I'd also like to see the interior, especially the floor treatment if it still has the factory mat/rubberized floor material.

Amber Poly Interior. Completely shot. Someone from Sandpoint skillfully took the firewall tags for paint and trim codes without the owner seeing it.

Aside from no title, the PO used it as a parts truck- mostly misc. things and engine components.

I needed it for the front clip, badging and misc interior pieces.

That 7k rating has it sitting 1/2 way in between my lifted 66 and my son’s stock ride height 62.

I hope you’ll be posting pics of your purchases soon!

Haha, yeah, the early versions. The wiring harness for them is in tact, that is pretty uncommon in the early rigs.

This truck was a local farm use only, so it literally sat for extended periods of time in the barn and was only put outside for the last 10, or so years. I find it weird that the front clip, bed and tailgate survived in decent condition, but the cab is so rusted through. I guess the years of muddy farm boots in the cab took it’s toll.

Dodging the rain, I was able to get the doors, and whole front clip off and stashed away. The bed is unbolted and waiting to be sold to a local guy for his build, the cab is also unbolted, too. Not sure if the cab is salvageable, or not. Once it is removed, I’ll pressure wash it and take a good look.

Had to swap in new pads on the rear disc brakes:



No wonder the back end was starting to squeal, haha. I’ll check the fronts after I wrap up installing the rear.

It was his grandfathers truck. 78, base model, 360, t150 3 speed, Dana 20, nearly flawless interior, electric Winch. Some pretty good bones there.

Other side wasn’t as bad, but still pretty thin. I took her out for a spin, and holy freakin’ cow- what a difference when you step up to a better braking pad! $ well spent.

There is some delamination along the outer edges almost all the way around, though it is very minor compared to most I’ve seen.



It is entirely possible that it is aftermarket, I’m not sure what the factory mark would look like I do have a spare windshield in the loft, maybe I’ll investigate that a bit more. You’ve brought up a great observation.

Just off the top of my head, I would bet quite a few windshields have been replaced and the other 1/2 are original. Of the originals, the worst of the delam’d windshields were probably ones where the Jeep were left outside to bake in the elements? Now I’m curious!

The combo sold to a guy who wanted the crank, and a few other internals, as well has the bellhousing/adapters, so I no longer have it.

I’ve been wanting to ditch the 16.5” rims on the 66 for awhile, but was going to wait until the 35’s wore out as the rims are obsolete, BUT two complete sets of Accuride brand aftermarket 8 lug 16” rims came up for grabs that were wearing LT 315’s (that’s crazy close to 35”).

While the tires were a bit narrower (mine were 12.50 and the steelie set is 75), I bought the set of 8 rims and tires for a good enough price that I welded hubcap tabs on so the stock 60’s hubcaps would fit. Painted the rims, had ‘em balanced and just road tested them out.



The other set has studded LT315 snow tires mounted on them. Not sure if I’ll keep the snow tires/rims, or not, but it was nice to get this minor detail done.

I loved the look of the old green Waggie I had put the Stockton Wheels on and that was the look I was going for BUT the key to it all was being able to run stock hubcaps over the 8 lug axles without messing anything up.

Well if anyone could figure it out, it’d be you. I really liked that green wag you had. the 66 has never looked better with those wheels, covers, and the canopy you made to fit. In my humble opinion
