I thought I had my gremlins sorted this weekend... Drove her with the kids over to my in laws for my 4 year olds birthday party. Went for some Krystal's for everyone getting setup and she died on the way back.......*sigh* Anyhow here is a rare out of the garage shot...

I call it Murphy because every time I fix something it breaks somewhere else. Put new pickup tube and new hoses on it the fuel pump goes out. I put in a HEI distributor and the carb starts giving me issues. Rebuild the Holley truck avenger and get about 80 miles on it and decide to tighten the belts and the alternator goes out. Put the bull tear serpentine conversion and upgrade the alternator to a cs series at the same time and get 2 alternators that charge at 15.5 volts and fry 3 modules in the HEI. I have some weird carb issue now that seems like vapor locking... I wired in a relay and Holley blue electric fuel pump and the new relay was bad... Then I swapped in my ignition relay (that I added) and fuel starts coming out of the air cleaner where it meets the carb (guessing the vent). Blew through the return and it's clear. Ran the electric pump through the manual to take advantage of its regulator. Between it the return line and the float and needles in the carb I'm baffled as to why this thing is pumping fuel out the vent. Every time I fix something.....

Cool NT. I love it when they still have the factory decals. Hope it's been running alright for you. If fuel is coming out the vent tube maybe the float is stuck?

I think because it knows the garage is to nice for it! Nice garage! Beautiful Jeep. I have a '79 CJ and I hand my wife her cell phone on my way out the door and she knows. I will probably call her and tell her to bring me parts and tools. Just the way it is.

Beautiful jeep and sorry about your luck. Im having somewhat of the same crap you are dealing with. I've owned mine now for 4 years and I think I've driven her for less than two months. When one thing is fixed, something else needs fixing. I've gotten stranded twice and overheated several times. I'm sure AAA hates me because they have to come out and tow me every time I take it for a spin. Anyway here is a pic. 1974 AMC Jeep Cherokee S
The Blair Jeep Project-1 was my first Cherokee, a 74 in white and had the same tires and wheels as yours greenmachine.
Thanks for sharing...brings back fond and familiar memories.
