Rusty 1973 Wagoneer

Post by Michael_N »

Hi!

I bought this rather worn Wagoneer. It was cheap to be an old american car here in Sweden, and it is tested and I don´t have to pay road tax. Insurance is also cheap compared to a more modern car. (that´s the positive things to be said. :) )

It is great in the snow. Heating could be better though, the thermostat must be shot.

Maybe, or a clogged heater core, or just a rusted up heater hose nipple. Had both on my 69. Welcome from
California, where we recycle everything, even governors.

It suddenly turned in to a daily driver after our Peugeot 605 had a final break down. I am getting to like the Jeep more and more.

Nice ole Waggy. I don't think I have ever seen one with tan paint and green interior. Why are there covers over the center of the front hub caps? At first I thought it might be a QuadraTrac but the trim suggests Dana 20.

It is Dana 20. I just know that the previous owner put the hubcaps on for me together with the winter tyres.

Had to try out the low gear this weekend. That was not the easiest to shift, to say the least. My brother needed to pull a caravan up his steep and icy driveway. The Jeep did that did that to my surprise, I thought it was almost impossible by the look of it.
