72 Wagoneer "Tigger" more pictures

Post by Climber »

Hey folks, New here so here's my intro to my 1972 Wagoneer we call Tigger! "The wonderful thing about tiggers is I'm the only one!" (although it seems someone else my be known as Tigger here as well)
Image
My Step dad ordered this one here in Seattle in early 72 and adored it until he died 3 years ago of leukemia. It has spent most of it life living indoors with the occasional journey to car shows and cruises around Seattle. While at a 4x4 show at Seattle International Raceway he was approached to see if he would like to have a story about it done in Four Wheeler magazine. It was printed in the Novemeber 1887 edition I believe. (I'll post the magazine pics later if you folks are interested)
The engine compartment was heavily detailed at one point and still looks great....just not show ready!
Image
Its a stock 360 with what my dad always called a factory upgraded cam....perhaps you guys can confirm in this was actually a option?
It has a edlebrock intake and carb on it now a days with Hooker long tub four into ones. Thats backed up with a flow master dual exhaust
The running gear is all Dana with 4:10 ratios and limited slips
The wheels are always a favorite. I think he bought them in 81 and they supposed to be from American Wheel. I've never seen another pair in many years around cars!
Image
Only 72k original miles!

Looks like you have a school bell to warn you if someone tries to steal the six pack?

What thief isn't baffled (amused) with a 70's car alarm. Not only does the alarm protect the 6pack it also stands guard over the La cucaracha air horn! Can we upload sound files?.....just visit your local taco truck for a sample! Gotta love the 70's JC Whitney catalog!

The interior was modified with custom velour buckets up front and the rear bench was recovered to match. He built a center console that housed the CB, tape deck (I remember this with the 8 track!) and other jadjets that caught his attention. I have a few pics I can up from from back in the day for ya

Here is the interior from back in the day. I was never a fan of the chain wheel.....damn hard on the fingers when you get one in a link!
The velour front seats broke a few years ago and we replaced them with Chrysler mommyvan seats. I removed the console and rock the AM radio on my climbing trips now a days

Image
Check out the black and white TV in the home made center console......Way before the in car systems we have today!

Here is one of the magazine shots from its show days.

Check out my dad Larry rock'n the trucker hat before they were cool.....again!

Greatest. Jeep. Ever.

There's so much awesome in these pictures that my head exploded and my fingers are typing before the blood rushes out of my severed neck.

That shifter is cooler than eskimo snot man... I like the rig especially seeing that the mods were done before mods were "in".

I dig it. The four lights on the front now were not there in the magazine spread- there are all kinds of things about your jeep that ooze cool!
