Man I wish I had the group help you Tucson guys have...
I unbolted the boxes off the old bed and my son and I carried them off. Fired up the wrecker and backed it over the back, hoisted it up, and drove the J20 out, then set the bed back down. Turned the wrecker around and hooked up to the front of the new bed and as I tightened it, the extension bar was bending. With the tension on it, I tried to lift it and could not budge it. Time for plan "B"...
Got my train jack out and lifted the front of the bed another 12" and moved the blocks to the outside. Ran a 10" piece of 4" x 1/4" angle under it, and backed the truck up to it. I laid 2 strips of plywood end to end and overlapped them about 2"s. Jacked the truck up, pulled the rear tires and let the jack down. Hooked a chain to the jack, and a come along to the front of the Willys, and pulled the truck under the bed, then jacked it up and put the tires back on. My new neighbor behind me had to come over and tell me how impressed he was and that he thoroughly enjoyed watching me.
Got the front 2 mounts welded on and the back 2 aligned, then focused on reinstalling the fuel tank until dark. Got it in, just have to plumb it, the fill neck is going to be challenging.
Enough chat, heres proof...
