Whoa, that is cool- I also dig the rare green glasses sky roof (?) that showed up on 50’s era wagons and some cars and would love to have one on a wagoneer.

True. If you look at the studebaker truck- the grill design is eerily reminiscent of the Gladiator- but I think Studebaker came first. It’s like the studebaker is a rough draft (lol, maybe a prototype) for the Gladiator.

This was in a trucking magazine about 20 years ago
There was a member who installed one of these sliding roofs.

That is cool stuff! How does the sliding mechanism set in the front of the roof?
And the cloth roof in the drawing is also very cool. Reminds me of this old Renault that my sister had for a while way back when? It had a retracting cloth roof in it.
