Got a more period-correct look

Post by KJ Ryu »

Probably all wrong for the year but, the rims were free. Got new meats put on them, today. I think it looks a lot better! Now, I just gotta find a set of center caps to match.

Now you need a chromed roll bar with four KC Daylighter lights :)

I like the way you think but, nope! Gonna put the topper back on that came with the truck. I think it was a dealer-installed one. Never seen one fit quite as well as it does. Took it off years ago to try to get a bit more mpg but now with EFI, I think I can deal with the added weight.

Nice! An original topper is a cool piece to have since most were thrown away in favor of something 'Cooler'.

Yep. It's not perfect but, it's in good condition, and it's color-matched!

I think they look fine and not out of place. They only put those on the wags?

I believe they were an 80s product. May have come on trucks but I don't think they came along until after the brow went away. Either way, they stay.

Dang, just re-read that ^^ I think I could have written Sheep in a Jeep... or, maybe, I was just too influenced by it. :P

re; my earlier comment:
If this pickup was bright yellow it would be a doppelganger to the one I drove around Montana for a long time.
Note the KC lights? :P

I knew what you meant. I've been a fan of these trucks since that one was in a showroom.

It was the semi-rusted chromed WagonWheel-Spokers that really got me :)
