1972 Wagoneer Needed Rescuing

Post by glake »

Another one has found it's way to my house! It seems to becoming a New Year's tradition. Two years ago, I brought home the 63 Wagoneer. Last year, a few day before New Year's Eve, I brought home the Gladiator, which is now my DD. So this year, on New Year's Day, I brought home this beauty!
Straight body with very little rust. No motor, trans or t-case, missing front fender emblems, one headlight trim ring, the windshield and hood (I have extras of these), and one rear taillight lens is broken, the other is cracked. Everything else is pretty much there. It was an AMC 360, A/C car.

We used my buddy's truck to tow it as far as his house until I could clear out some space at home and then I brought it home with the Gladiator. That was a terrific sight!

Once it was home, a snapped a few pictures.

Today it found it's way into the garage for cleaning. Once that's done, it will remain stored in the garage, out of the weather, until the 63 Waggy gets done.

Shweet man... ahh i miss doing all that cleaning and stuff.. when i got my 90 like 9 months ago i was out there daily cleaning tesring up the carpets. Fixing the rust welding and stuff.. but i worked so quickly that its all done now and im kinda bored lol... I mean ill habe to do more frame welding this spring and tear apart the top end of the engine to replace the intake manifold gasket thats leaking coolant outside of the engine in two spots lol..

But still seems like most of the work is done already lol

The wheels and tires are loaners from a friend jus to get it home. They're an odd size he had on his Bronco.
