Requesting photos of FSJ with 4" of lift and 33x10.5 with an emphasis on trimming

I am curious how much and where you all needed to trim with a 4" lift and 33x10.5's These are going on the factory 15x7 Aluminum Kidney bean mags. It seems like most of y'all trim the leading and tailing edges of the 1/4 panels, underneath where you really can not see it. I know many need to adjust the turning stops to keep the tires from rubbing on the leafs as well. Where else do they rub? I love the low lift (relatively speaking) tall pizza cutter look.

Subscribed. I have 4" springs w/ 33x10.5s on stock wheels, but I have a 2" block. Im removing it in favor for a 1" Zero Rate spring (lift block that bolts to the spring pack). But it clears really well right now. I folded all the lips over though, as I used to have 32x11.5s, and they were a bit close. Haven't flexed it yet, but when i do, and start cutting, Ill post some pics!

RamJetFSJ - How did you fold the lips of the fender.

I also thought about putting a bottle jack inside the fender well with a block of wood on the inside of the fender and push or flange the entire fender out to clear a larger tire.

Ah that would be interesting, fairing the 1/4s. We used to do that on rangers all the time.

3 lb sledge and a pair of vice grips. I think I added a few cuts w/ a cut off to make it easier, where the bends are.

My 33x10.5s are tucked pretty good. I don't think you'd need to flare them at the top if your using near stock backspacing. Its the lower edge front and rear of the tire, where it tucks down in towards the frame, is where you'll really have problems.

The GW on the left has 4" lift and 33x12.5x15 on 15x8 white spokes. There is plenty of trimming to clear tires. The one on the right has 4" lift and 33x10.5x15 on stock 15x7 wheels. No trim, no rub.

Here it is flexed and stuffed.

Flint,

On the white GW did the leading and trailing edges of the rear openings need to be trimmed?

I have my lift otw from hell creek, and will hopefully order tires soon, I wonder if they will fit with no trimming for the drive home from the tire shop, before I trash the brand new tires

Don't suppose you have anymore photos of the GW on the left (with 33x12x15) do you, this is how I want to go, but having a hard time getting anything much to come up search wise.

Thanks.

Would you be able to post a picture of the rear inner fender liner? What did you do to fill the large gap? I cut about 2 inches out of my rear and filled it with "Gaps and Cracks" filler front he hardware store but I still get a lot of exhaust smell in the cabin.

I bought a small piece of 16g sheet metal and cut and welded it in. I will probably go back and do some expanding foam on the inside, but no way would I ever expect that to fill the gap on its own.

This is 35x10.5x15 on stock suspension and Chevy ralley wheels. Carried it off road at ECI and never had a problem of rubbing. The only thing I did was to roll the inner flanges up on the rear fenders.
