CAGE PICS

Post by wag4x6 »

Hey guys, I'm about to start a cage in my 89 Waggy. I'd like to see some pics of what yall did. How did you get around the dash board how did you keep enough room to access the back seat?

I will take some pics of my j10. My cage goes down thru the dash. I have the dash out right now and will snap pics of both the cage and the dash. Wont help on the back seat issue but you can see the dash part.

Not sure if it's "correct" & don't really care. It's gotta be better than nothing.

Unless you plan on going through a tech inspection at the drag strip there is no "correct" way! That is a nice looking cage

Here you can see how it is forward of the A pillar but still sits behind the windshield.

I am building a J-10, fully caged. Here is the way I did it:

I also built a bed bar that attaches to the frame.

Now that the interior is done and its painted and upholstered, here is the (95%) finished product:

I'm sure some of these ideas can be adapted to a Waggy. Best of luck, Keep in Jeepin', Chris
