I did one on my rear axle, bushings on the axle and heim at the frame with conventional shackle. It does limit flex for sure.
I need to make one for the front as well. This one has too much travel to use a regular shackle (set up as reversed shackle), so i will use a slip and twist joint. Heims at axle and frame. Slip and twist is 1.75" x 0.102" wall dom with 1.5" x 0.250" wall slipped inside. this should allow the axle to move freely and not bind, while controlling wrap as well.
The one I am planning to build when I get to that point is a lot like #2, but with a plate between the bars like #1.
Then add the adjustment to the axle end of the top bar, and the shackle end of the other, to fine tune the angles/length.
If you foresee a need for more adjustment just use the multi-hole mount like shown above.
