NP 208 fluid capacity

Post by az chip »

Manual says 6 pints. Do I fill until it comes out the full hole? If I do that is a lot more than 6 pints. This stuff makes me a little crazy. As an aircraft mechanic this type of contradiction in manuals is not normal to me. It says fill to level of fill hole, capacity 6 pints. BS. If I fill to the hole that is like 3 qts.

You do see where the manual uses the term 'approximate' right. And if AMC ever did build a plane there is no way I would have flown in it. ;)

You should see some stuff on planes. But that is another subject.

To answer one of your questions, yes, fill it until fluid is to the bottom of the fill hole.

That is just not right. Probably a wiring nightmare.
