j20 6.6L Duramax?

Post by jeep_j10_1975 »

I have a big question about putting a 6.6l duramax in a j20 and if it is even possible.

Anything is possible with enough time and money. Putting an engine as heavy as the 6.6L will take a bit of work, but it is certainly possible.

How much work are you willing to do?

Yes it has been done before, well at least it has in a Wagoneer. H-line conversions did one for Arnold Schwarzenegger.

It has a GM 2500 front end as it also contains the engine cradle. Stock front axle wont handle the weight anyway. SO its either go to a D60, or go with the GM stuff. Which was most likely cheaper than a D60.
