Thanks for all the kind words!

No real updates yet, its back at the shop ready to get put back together, just waiting on some parts. A little reminder as to where the truck started out!

Really happy I went with the truck style pan, it leaves quite a bit of clearance.

Wow that's green! What color interior will you be going with?

Looks like you're going with all Novak parts so far for the swap. Good choice! Makes it nice and easy.

The Novak stuff has been fantastic so far!

And thinking a light grey for the interior, still up in the air on it though.

Really like the gauges! Brand/model?
What are your plans for heater, or are you not running one out in CA?
Did you use the engine to determine where to place the motor mounts or just put them where the originals were and adjust from there?
Able to leave the crossmember in one of the original slots or have to modify?
What did you spray the interior with? Did it work out best to do that before final paint or prefer to do after?
Did you have to go Hydro due to space, or was it just personal choice?
I know, lots of questions..
Playing with thoughts of moving from LT to LQ4 in my junk. Watching your progress closely!

The gauges are from speedhut and it's their freedom line OBD2 style gauges, with custom jeep font. (though it looks pretty close to their normal lineup)
The heater is actually included in the vintage air setup, the core is actually inside that unit. It's super compact.
We installed the engine to see where it would fit, on the middle setting it was pretty much perfect.
We had to modify the crossmember and move it back to accommodate the 4L80E. Though I think if you have a 4L60 you shouldn't have an issue as I believe they're about the same length.
It's called rubber guard. We'll see how well it works, it's supposed to be a sound deadener, though it didn't come out very well when it was laid down in some places.
Just a personal choice for the hydroboost, I wasn't super happy with the way the truck stopped before, I would've gone bigger wheels/brakes but I might still do that in the future.

Thanks for the responses. I like the clean gauge faces.
I like the hydro-boost, but have gone through 3 PS pumps on my set up in the recent past. You can't get new LT1 PS pumps anymore, so all are reman's. I might trust it with a new set up, but not with my current configuration.
Looking forward to see you rig go back together.

Good to know... I didn't realize they were so hard on PS pumps, this is just a 5th gen camaro pump, so hopefully I can source these for a while :/

5150's have a remote reservoir mounted on the side of the main. I have them on my YJ and love them. I think the 5125's are the ones without the external reservior.

Some more updates!

Things have slowed recently but I'm getting back in it and hopefully should have it fired up by the end of the week!

Had some exhaust fabbed up by Redline Performance Manufacturing in Mesa and it came out amazing! Can't wait to hear this thing fire finally.

Column psuedo-mounted

A few wiring things here and there. Picked up an entire new body harness from Z&M jeeps, really high quality stuff. Hate dealing with the cosmoline stuff though, it gets everywhere!

More progress! Condenser and trans cooler mounted. And also had cold air intake and radiator hoses fabbed up.

Very close to firing now!
