I have done some more. I ditched the 37's and the Dodge wheels and went back to 40's. Looks right again. 40x13.50x17 Nitto Trail Grappler MT's on 17x9 black Vision wheels. I also finished bending up my tube flares. Next I'll add 10 ga metal and weld them up. I also added 3x4x.250 wall tube rockers. Tough as nails now. I drew up and cut out JEEP letters for my tailgate too. Lots more to do, including a new paint job. I have new doors ready to go on as well.

The Trail Grapplers are really good tires. Surprised you cut off those nice flares after all the work you put into them.

What color are you thinking of?

Yea, they weren't holding up to my off-road expeditions. So, they had to go.

I will probably paint it the same color or maybe silver or maybe black or maybe... who knows? I change my mind daily. But it does look really nice when the green is new and clean.

I like the look of the tube fenders, would be cool if they tied in to the bumper.

Been following this build for years. I was kinda sad to see the flares go too. Figured you'd stretch the wheel-well openings before you'd give them up..

I stretched and raised the wheel well openings with my tube flares. Still need to be skinned, but no more tires munching them. The rear fenders are coming off and they will be replaced by larger tube fenders like the front.

Had a fun Idaho Snow Day!

What did you cut the "Jeep" out with? CNC plasma, by chance? Still got the file, if so? I'd like to do that with mine but, can't seem to find the right font.

Yes, I couldn't find the font or vector file of the letters anywhere. So, I drew them on my computer from a photo and cut them on the plaz table.

Would you be willing to share that file? I'll have access to a plaz table soon.

Awesome project!

What sort of compressor/condenser are you using for the vintage air? As well as fittings and whatnot?

Some photos of our first warm spring day wheeling. Felt great to get out and breathe the fresh air and feel the warm sun. Love Idaho!
