Set the front axle and tacked up the radius arms.
Tomorrow I'll set the springs and hopefully by the end of the weekend the suspension will be done.

Finished welding the link brackets this morning.
My son had a lacrosse game in the middle of the day so had to take a pause.

Got the spring buckets fabed and located. They are semi welded so I can check the height under full weight. Started drinking so I'll check it tomorrow and fully weld them. Also get the shocks located and set tomorrow. Track bar will be next.

j20owner: I'll hook the steering up just for you.

For those interested. I bought the spring buckets from Barnes4wd. I had to modify them for the larger (wider) axles but it save me a ton of time compared to my last build.

Suspension is basically done minus the shocks. Need to take the springs out and paint everything. Hopefully this week I can get the shocks mounted and paint the metal.

I like your mounting idea for the PCM, is that a custom fab piece or the original bracket out of a GM?

It's 16 ga sheet metal I bent. Basically made a cardboard mount template then traced it to the sheet metal.

Took the front suspension apart this evening and painted everything. Tomorrow I'll put it back together and the front will be done.

Also get the back shocks located and set in place then paint the raw metal tomorrow.

The front is about 1/4" taller than the back and since they are new spings up front I estimate they will settle about a 1/2". I'm gonna take the rear load leaf out and think by the time everything settles the rear will be 1/2" -3/4" lower than the front which IMO is ideal.

Getting closer to cranking it. Suspension is done. Took drive shaft measurements. Need the back lengthened and the front shortened. Drop them off this week.

Fuel tank is back in and lines plumbed. Need a fitting and some clamps.

Started on the exhaust. Got the flanges cut off and v bands welded on. Hope to finish the exhaust and fuel system this week.

It's looking good for ECI. Exhaust is the last major component.

Still need to fab and relocate battery box. A few interior items. Back window wasn't working but that's at the bottom of the list.

you are right there Surf. If I could deligate my time, I might be able to get my engine swapped out before the ECI. I'm gonna wait though. Now I have another daily driver (87 Camry) I could get tearing it down but I really want to drive it to Uwharri.

Got the exhaust all fabed up.
Put some BBQ paint on it to take the shinny away.
