Nothing great today but I put the front end together , cut out for the bags , dehumped the lower control arms , still got some more trimming to do to get it to lay lower , and I got to put the tie rods on , those tires are 28.5-28.7" tall the tires I'm going to be running on the 20s will be 27.7" tall . And I also got the notch plates cut out and ready to be welded in so I should have that done this weekend

Finished getting the front to lay on 28.5" tall tires , with stock lowers dehumped , stock uppers pie cut , 2" drop spindles , and I notch the frame for the tie rods . I cut the wagoneer frame off and rolled the s10 front under , put the fenders on did a ton of measuring to center the wheel in the wheel opening and get it square with the wagoneer frame , slowly trimmed the s10 frame so the wagoneer frame would slide inside the s10 frame . I did not weld it in yet ill double check everything tomorrow and then weld it in .

This is pretty cool and I am going to follow for sure! How are you going to be able to steer? It does not look there is any room for the wheels to turn.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks guys !

Ed it will have air ride and it will lift up and untuck the tires to be able to turn lock to lock . At the height it ice in the pix its laying on the ground and can't move but I at that height it still has enough room to drive down the road just no big turns lol . I see your in falls Church , I'm down in spotsylvania and I work in DC so you might see it eventually on the roads

Heck, I might drive down that way just to catch a glimpse of this thing in person. Love watching all the re-engineering. I was wondering about the steering too. Pretty cool workaround. Can the bags be tied to a sensor on the steering so they inflate automatically as you turn the wheel closer to lock? Way cool! :-bd

Kind of funny! All 3 of us have inoperable Wags! I do head down past Fredericksburg all the time. We all need to get our stuff done and have a Meet & Greet!

Hang on now, the '73 moves and drives! Ed, I will come by on Saturday with it if you want proof.

It just still has that broken front pinion, only seats inside, and the rotten corner that lets the drivers rear fender flex and squeak. It hasn't driven more than 6 miles from the house since I bought it.

It will get to the hospital if anything happens to me!

I've never been much into low riders, but I do like seeing any project with that much figuring and fabbing. Great job executing what most would say won't work. I may have to ride out that way when its done to check it out.

Dude!!!!!!!!

Outstanding build, I have not read it yet and actually just found it doing a Google search of FSJN for "lifts" :D

Nice vision, maybe sacrilegious for some but I really like the creativity, fabrication and hotrod spirit. :-bd

Still need to finish the notch , but this pic was just everything tacked in checking fitment and making sure the full travel was problem free

Rear fully welded and painted just waiting for the frame to be finished and painted , things you have to do to keep the back seat ( upper link mount crossmember )
