So is the Jeep orange or red? The one photo being off has me confused :)

Really like how you used the original color and white darts and roof. Very impressed with what you have done with your Wag. :-bd

OMG that is so sharp! That's mostly what I planned to do with my Wag if I ever get the time and money. Would still love to use the 401 it came with but a BB Ford would be nice too.

Clean Car,

Couple questions - where did you get your Speedo signal?

On your ECM X1 connector, pin # 71, what color is your wire? Org/Black? I think my 2wd harness is different than the 4wd harnesses...Hopefully it will work.

What did you end up using for gauges?

Love this build!

Awesome project! I also have a few questions since I'm doing a similar swap.

How did you end up arranging the column shift? And also curious about the gauges.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Thank you all for the compliments, really does mean a lot. As far as the wiring of the ecm . It was all rewired and reflashed by Novak conversions. So far as specifically what pin# is what...I'm not sure. But I can look if you need to know. Or need help.

The gauges are all stock...adapted AMC 360 oil and temp sensors to the GM Block. Fuel Gauge works but needs adjustment. Speedo is stock mechanical rund off the 231 tcase .

The column is a brand new IDIDIT with one added position for overdrive. The shift cable I grabbed from a upick yard, it is from a 2009 Tahoe, it fits the 6l80e, and was easily adapted to fit the IDIDIT linkage.

I don't see a FSJ column listed on their site, did you just use a CJ column or did they custom make one

Again I apologize for the delay, I'm not getting email notifications. The ididit column was not necessarily custom... when you call there talk to Marty and you can reference me/,this build. It was a 100% bolt up/ wire up . Using the supplies kit from ididit and in combination with the painless wiring kit. it all works out. Came in bare steel, I painted it to match. If your using a modern 6l80e...I think this is the cleanest way to go. I believe you can modify the stock column to have the extra "detent". If it where a budget minded build I would look into that.

Can you take a picture of how the transfer case shifter is situated in there?

I was re-reading this and caught that the side markers were shaved off, you mentioned replacing them with smaller round ones?

I will take some pictures of the t case cable set up...post asap. The front side markers will be small round led lights. We are once again working on this project, finishing up the details. I'm having issues getting the fuel gauge to work, gm sender/ pump to stock fsj, I was told it would work...doesn't read until almost empty. Any help would be great.. I'll start posting pics and updates soon.

Sounds like the polarity may be reversed. I know old FSJ's had it one way, and around the mid 80's sometime it switched to read the opposite.

Image I am having a hard time posting specific pictures. So here's another link to my photobucket page.
http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/g39 ... 035.jpgThe front tube bumper is bolted with 1/2" grade 8s to a plate welded to the front cross member. The oem bumper then bolts to it. The rear bumper is similarly attached. The side marker lights are NOS for a 68 Plymouth and were a pain to install ( drilling through new paint job) The TJ wrangler transfer case shift lever is modified to fit the fsj, it is attached to the t case with a cable. We are trying to finish up all the details before heading to Moab. Adding a roof rack, New interior, and tidy up the wiring.
