Got lots of ideas. Not sure how far I'm gonna take her. Need to fix some of the stuff the previous owner did to her. He did the poor man's SOA...beat the manifold to make it fit, pulled the power steering. Need to get that in order. The transmission support broke, and he never fixed it...so, now it has a hole in the transmission case....need to get that fixed. I'm basically gonna rebuild everything

I recommend downloading the Tapatalk app to your phone and uploading pictures there. Much easier to do that trying to upload here. Seamless process really. Looking forward to seeing what you do with her!
That is a good start to a project. I love the FSJ thrucks and I make several custom parts for them including a tow hitch. Presently, I'm developing a Long Spring front suspension kit that uses Long Springs [54"] Front Spring Shackle Reversal, new Shock and bump stop mounts. This kit rides softer, provides 4-5" of lift and provides up to 12" of travel. Something to consider if you cant get your SOA set up..

I dont want to HiJack the thread but Im having the brackets mass produced and will post up under Vendors once its finished.
How did the PO get the steering to clear on the SOA?
Keep me in mind in 2 years when you wife demands that you get rid of the J20 in-a-box project I love the FSJs and have several running and several that haven't in years. I'm a big fan of getting it running and having fun. Too often people never finish their projects because it takes soooo long and they loose interest. Just keep on-Keeping On to get it finished [is a project really ever finished?]
We should be finished by the end of February. Sent it off to paint/body last week. We'll start putting the frame/axle/motor/tranny/drivetrain back together this week. We're going to refurb most (if not all) the interior once we get the cab back. She'll be looking good!
