If I cut the rivets, add a 4" block between the frame and the shackle. Then rebolt and weld every thing.

I will save ubolts, dana 44 low steering, less pit man arm.Image

Time to get the head cleaned up and ready to go.

Hopefully in 2 weeks, the diesel will be put back together again.

Definitely going with SOA, instead of springs. I got a replacement axle to do the welding on so the Jeep is mobile.

Going to cut off knuckle mounts and rotate a few degrees to keep driveshaft aligned.

It might take a year to get every thing ready to install.

If you don't mind posting up some pics of when you re-weld these and align the centers with the rims, I'd be very interested in seeing that. Thanks!

Disentigrated metal cup on bearing caliper bracket.

Is this cup to protect the spindle seal,?

Now to build a clocking jig, then cut apart and reweld.
Going with two flat top knuckles, and a locker

My engine block is ready for pick up. So rebuilding it is next on the to do listImage

Well the 3rd oil pan matched, 6.2 vs 6.5 are different in the rear. Ended up with a stock 6.2 civilian.

Waiting for a special oil pump drill attachment to get oil into the heads. From Leroydiesel. I tried with a compressed oil tank.

I want to make sure oil flows to the heads before I install the injectors lines , as they snake over the valve covers.

Had to tear down the front as I never installed the front oil galley plugs, I could not get oil into the heads with leroy's priming tool. Opps, glad I caught it early.

Almost ready to prime the fuel system.
It will be Christmas before I am ready to bolt the engine in. Image
