Nov 2010 Phoebe ,Flint and Krista took a tumble while wheeling here in AZ.In May 2011 Az hosted one of the crazyest WOT's I've ever seen in 2 days what was a totaled shell rolled under it's own power with Krista at the wheel.
Today I counted over 500 post on the Ifsja and decided to post the paint and finish here. Flint can move pic's and story as they (Krista ) feel.
Phoebe Too was moved out to the house two weeks ago, since have removed the many parts out of and 400grit blocked out the whole body, all parts that go back on are sorted and checked,Beca wants to polish everything so Today I moved it all into the house to give her room to work in the shop.
Image
During the first Wot the drivers lower quarter was cut out and replaced with the Panel from Phoebe,Casey did a great job with the graph.
Image

The last 2 dents on the body to adress are the rocker and the front corner.

The tan dash is being prepped to Go Black.

I have the pattern coming from Globe AZ to add the wrap-arounds to the grill also gone are the Boobie grill to be replaced with a Egg crate.
This Saturday the Roof rack will be dry fit, dents gone and ready for sealer.

Far Out Bob. :-bd Hmmm, I never noticed the wavy rocker because of the black paint that was on it when we shopped out the body. Thanks so much for taking on the pile of parts. :)

Okay here's what we have today.
Image

All the over spray is removed with a little lacqure thinner.
This is Sems Vinyle,carpet product.
The dash has been 400 grit sanded and will be taped off and paint tomorrow with a gloss black to give some diference.
The majority of dents were removed with this.
Image
The stinger gun.Fast, easy and no holes, get me no dings and no bondo.
Also had time to sand and test the color going on the rack.

Looks Great!

Not sure if we were sealing the inside corners/flanges of the racks back then. If we did you will see black paintable caulk in there, if not you should seal it to keep water out.

What time you want me there in the morning?
Probably doing dog park and Poco's so any time after 9am will work.

See you in the morning then.

The caulk is really obvious if you look at the insides of the corner pieces.

Used the stinger to pop out all the dents, fast and easy.

They all came out clean so just have to cut off the studs and that's done.

Have the rack ready to go this morning and that will be out of the way for awhile

Before I closed up yesterday did find these so I'll address this today.Time to cut up another fender, rear passenger inside well.

Nice find Bob! I missed it. Looks like from tire splash. The donor did sit in San Antonio for at least 10 years inop. Typically dry, that area gets a lot of Gulf breezes and rain too. We are blessed you have the skills and tools for this work. :-bd

oh yeah

Update: Krista would like the clock delete option re-installed. If she wants a clock later she will get a flat digital to stick there. I should never guess this stuff myself. :) We are shopping around for radio options and would like to leave the radio holes stock.

Muchas Gracias

<hysterical laughter>

Krista mumbled something like "what, no Hello Kitty?" :))

That is funny!

Looking at this radio here as potential option. I think it will fit. May need to call and confirm dimensions. On a clean spare dash, I measure the holes right at 1 5/8" X 3 3/4" wide for the center and 5 1/2" between the knob posts.
