Flint, what ever Krista wants to do is fine with us,with the hood off we are just looking at different options for future projects. As for under the hood with any paint job these area's have to be addressed. Why the amount of dust, rust and dirt over all can mess up a paint job quick do to it blowing out when the new paint hits it.And the big reason we think it's fun to do.There are better products out there then the OME felt that will do the same job for alot less.We can add what ever Krista wants when you come down right now under the hood is white.
Bueno Bob, I will chat with Krista about this more. Totally understand the logic behind tidying things up before the final paint. Not something I have experience with because I pretty much run what ever color it is in my world. I did have my GW painted back in 97 but that was one of them Peach Auto sale packages that does not even come close to what you are doing with P2. Thanks for your expertise!
I guess we need to talk about the Ebrake cables too. We will be running errands after work today but can call along the way if you are available between 4:30 and 6:00 mountain time. I think y'all are an hour behind us now with DST in place.
Flint I agree on Auto zombie's(zone) took PToo's battery in this morning counter guy your battery's bad, thanks know that it's six month's old is it warrentied yep good BUT I have to charge it to check and replace under warrenty come back later to get your new one.Yea okay, came home took the battery out of evil twin and all looks good.I'll go back tomorrow and get the new battery,Evil me has Called 3 times to see if it's ready, but they think I'm Flint so what the heck. =))
With Martin and Casey's help we were able to get the fender realined, with a good gap top to bottom. The best we can figure it was 3/8 th an inch nose high.
After the work
We did develope a red rash today also,so Casey broke out his pressure washer to see if we can remove it.Actually it's spot putty on all the little nicks and scratches.

Wow. More beautiful work. I will have to get an apron for working around the engine after she is done up. I'll be afraid to lay anything that might chip or otherwise taint the beauty of it all.
Good to see the evil twin got set up with the winch. We sure like having one on the other white waggy, Old Fugly.
We scored a deal on the right door seals from Tijuana through another FSJer, James Durham in San Diego. Must be our anniversary present to each others.
The Ebrake cables. We have two of the front sections, one is 51" and the other 55". I think the shorter one is from a 76 Cherokee NT/401. Most of these cables are off the Cherokee and the other front section is off a 75 Wag/401. Shortest piece is 46.5" then two pieces are 61".
