Thanks,
Still got a lot of little stuff to get it back on the road. Labor day maiden voyage I'm hoping for.

She's moving! Has good power and cruises, haven't got it up to top speed cause there's about 45-50 degrees of steering wheel free play at around 50mph. But good throttle response between gears and at take off(in second). Ease the clutch out in first and she crawls very nicely, no stalling!

Driveability is quite nice, steering is not so good however. I installed a rather poor condition used steering gear box when I did my conversion that I feel for safety sake needs to be replaced. I just hope the Durango unit I purchased to replace it will be compatible, new u joint is likely as well fittings (o-ring/flare) I would like to keep my pitman arm.

If anyone plans to do this swap please note that if the oil pressure sending line breaks you will dump 1.5+ gallons of oil in a matter of 60 seconds.
I would recommend an adapter in the block to run an electronic sending unit to avoid a situation mentioned above.

Yup... I shut it down immediately, so hopefully no damage. But i cant run it without plugging/replacing it, new line from MBZ takes 2-3 weeks to get(I found out after purchase) so I'm probably gonna run electronic gauge to avoid all this again.

Fingers crossed for your motor. I will put a penny in my shoe and kill a chicken during the eclipse just in case voodoo will help.

Many apologies. Eclipse just passed over us. I believe we are the last spot on continental US to experience totality. Couldn't find a chicken to kill so, being of Celtic decent, I had about 30 people scream like Banshees. When the kids asked why we were doing that I replied "O M 6 1 7 !" which they adopted as a chant while I yelled "230ohc!" while Grateful Dead's Dark Star played from my iPhone. Hope it helped and I hope many of you got to experience the eclipse.

I'd have gone with Pink Floyd's Dark side of the moon... Image

As for the truck... I wish there was a way to show the "seat of the pants" feel of driving it. How's the acceleration?

I really like it. Compared to the 230 it seems better. All characteristics compared to stock are more pleasant, manual transmission with 3.73 axles and 28.5 tires seems very peppy.
I think I will play it out until I can definitively calculate fuel economy. I'm very satisfied with performance, clearance would be my only other concern to that I think slight body lift with 31-32 tires and 3.92-4.11 gears dependant upon fuel milage over top speed and low end power
