Got a whole lot done in the last three days.
I started off by using Must For Rust on the surface flash rust that had attached itself to my blasted Wagoneer. Ended up pouring it into a spay bottle, then just keeping all the affected surfaces wet till it got rid of any rust.
OH! BEWARE! You really have to wear a good mask (painting type), and also protect your eyes. I wore a TYVEK suit too.
Just for giggles I decided to blast air into the inside drip rails, and every crevice I could just to make sure all the blast media was out.
DANG! More sand came out YET AGAIN!
I spent a good four hours making sure it was pretty much gone.
Pretty sure I got 99% of it out now?
So then yesterday after Scocthbrighting everything, and then using prep-solve I started shooting in some Eastwood products. On the surface stuff I used their 2k epoxy, and then in the inside of the quarter panels I used their Rust Encapsulator (taking every precaution I can right now). I also used Eastwood Frame encapsulator in all the places I can not get a gun into. Like along the inside of the drip rail area, down the pillars, Some into the fresh air area, and then inside bellow the quarter windows. That is the green stuff you see dripping out in the pictures.
Today I got the first gallon of the Eastwood Heat / Sound barrier on the ceiling, and on the floor & firewall. I also got some chassis paint on the front of the frame. I just did not need any more flash rust anywhere.
I have to wait to do the second gallon, as we have a storm coming in, and now we are expecting snow / rain?
So as soon as we get some better weather I will start slinging mud on her, and then primer, block, primer, paint.
Interior frame rust encapsulator.
Looks better already!
And something I decided to have done was to have the inner fenders powder coated too.
