NP208 identification

Post by srobertsfsj »

I picked this 208 up a few years ago and I am not sure if this is the right one to fit in the 86 Waggy. Does this tag tell me anything?

208 AM is the AMC designation. I do believe it will replace the 228/229 with a rear drive shaft from a QT rig.

IIRC, the rear driveshaft will be a little short with the 208. I think a rear shaft out of a QT rig is the right size.

Thanks guys, I knew there was a F*rd version of the 208 as well, was just making sure this isn't one of those.

IIRC, 208 "F" was the ford and "C" was Chevy.
