For anyone that has done a driver side front axle in an 79-earlier fsj...I have read that the floor and will have to be clearanced to get a driver drop tcase to fit. Does anyone have pics of where and how much they had to modify the floor? I just want to get an idea of whether its a job for the jeep hammer or if I will need to cut and weld.
The PO of my cherokee sprayed about a 1/4 thick layer of bedliner over the whole floor (I suspect to hide the bad metalwork I can see from underneath). So its going to be no fun to remove that stuff and weld in a patch.
