I think there is a sheetmetal floor below that area, if I remember correctly, so water splashing up from the road shouldn't be much of an issue. Would you be using the stock "pie pan" faux vent covers or something else over the opening?

twisted frame - using the OEM razor grille. That area is black since you can see background color behind the razor but not much detail. Agree, bit of splash water would not be much of an issue for horns. I'll try them here see how it goes later. Want the room on top of the inner fender for electronics. Thanks.
