Front Sway bar end links

Post by mattywilz »

This is for a 1985 wagoneer. Pulled off the old sway bar end links to install new extended ones for a 4 inch lift. Old ones has no metal sleeve inside the bushing, the new ones came with a metal sleeve in the bushing that seems like it won’t fit around the upper or lower studs. Do I have to use these metal sleeves or can I just toss them? It seems like they fit pretty snug without the sleeve.

Just remove them. The sleeve is for when you have bolts instead of studs. The studs should be snug enough to get rid of any major play.

Makes sense, I thought I may have had to press them in.
