Buick 350 2bbl to 2150 adapter plate?

Hey guys,

I'm thinking of ditching my stock carb on the Buick 350 to the 2150 I currently have on my 360. Looking for the correct adapter plate and can't seem to find anything except for 2bbl to 4bbl adapters.

And is there anything I need to be aware/ look out for when doing the swap?

Originally was thinking of doing a Qjet swap but if I can pull off the 2150, that'll save me having to buy a new mani, which is appealing.

Thanks!

Pretty sure it's a Rochester 2G on a 350. There is a large and small Rochester adapter to a Holley pattern. Look on Jegs or Summit. Personally I don't see much of an advantage to changing from one 2V carb to another. Probably nothing wrong with the existing carb that a good rebuild would not cure. The CJ guys recommend the Napa/Eichlin carb kit for the 2G.

JMO - skip the carb swap and go directly to throttle body fuel injection.

TBI swap would be ideal from what I've heard... I just know less than nothing about TBI set-ups/what's entailed in it. I suppose any TBI set up from an 80s buick will bolt on with the correct manifold though? Doesn't seem like anyone makes new ones for the buick 350.

If you want to do TBI cheap, the main barrier is research. You can adapt GM TBI parts to almost any engine using the resources you can find online. Or, you could pay someone to put together a system for you. Making the GM TBI work on a Buick V8 is straightforward, as such things go. You need to install the needed parts and create a tuning table that is adapted to your engine. You can do this yourself, or hire someone to do it for you.

Why do you want to ditch your 2GV? It's a very reliable carb that is easy to rebuild. All you need to adjust it is a pair of needle nose pliers and a set of pin gauges.

If you want to eventually go TBI, it would be a waste of time and money switching to a 2150.
