Would these Skyjacker shocks fit?

Post by Saul32 »

http://www.jegs.com/i/Skyjacker/825/N8032/10002/-1

I have the Rustys 6" lift kit and the cheapie shocks that were included in the kit are too stiff. The fit application does not say that they're for a Grand Wagoneer but the collapsed and extended lengths are pretty much the same. Anyone here with a 6" lift using these or know if they'll fit?
Thanks

I have Rancho RS5000's. rides a bit stiff, the 9000's would be a better choice.

Thanks again Stuka. I just placed my order w Jegs for Skyjacker softride Nitros. The sizing is the same as Rustys specs for their shocks that came with my kit. One guy at Jegs said that all 4 shocks should not be the same length but Rustys sends out their shocks that way. I hope I don't end up with ridiculously large shocks that don't fit my Wagoneer

Yeah they should be different. My fronts are quite a bit longer than my rears.

Dang. What lift kit do you have?
since we are on the topic of shocks, my rear top bolt that is part of the frame, has stripped badly and the nut flew off due to this. It seems like the bolt is part of the frame tho. What do I do about this?
Cut it out and weld a new one in place? or just use a smaller size nut??
