Personally I have had better luck with metal ones. YMMV though.

Don't rule out remflex. These are the best exhaust gaskets I've used. They are a graphite sorta thing, for lack of a better word.

The remflex are really really thick, 1/4" which makes it hard to slip. I have a set unused somewhere.

i have used the remflex....twice. super thick, very easily broken. try pursies metal gaskets. the ends are open so that you can slide them on once you have the two end bolts in. and they work. my remflex gaskets leaked.

Throughout the years I have tried many different gaskets on my various builds. Most recently, I have tried the thick graphite and copper gaskets on the Thorley headers currently on my Wagoneer. Both the graphite and the copper leaked.

In the past, the best I have found are the factory style metal gaskets made for the factory manifolds. I coat both sides of the gasket with anti-seize before using them, and have had great success. In fact, I have a set hanging on the wall just waiting to be installed to cure the leak on the Jeep.

YMMV and all that...

Hmm, I love my remflex gaskets. They went in without a hitch, and sealed up right away.
